  1. Tin,
Having read many books about sailing, I can't remember but a few paragraphs about the young person's perspective and account. I definatly know that an adult looses sight of just how much savy and intellegence one has at the slight ages of five and younger. Time tends to steal ones recall as they pass further into true grownups. As adults, the best storytellers about youth are good at writing personal daily notes when they were little. This helps when an adult trys to make a book or movie that a kid will actually relate to. My father was a great talker but a very poor listener...especially when giving advice. Is your captain a gentle sea creature?

Hope to see your thoughts on compariison to your fathers. New wave verses old man of the sea.
